Alief ISD News and Recognitions

Elsik High School student Mayno Linares was announced by Allstate Insurance Company as an Allstate All-American.

From the nearly 800,000 players across the country, 250 high school juniors were selected for their outstanding achievements in soccer. Linares was the only Houstonian and one of only two Texans to be named in this first round of elite high school soccer players.

Linares will be coached and mentored by U.S. soccer legends, including former Major League Soccer players, U.S. national team members and Olympic gold medalists. These legends will lead the 250 All-Americans in matches at the Allstate All-America Cup at the 2019 MLS All-Star Game in Orlando this summer.
