Banquo
General of Army, Close Friend to Macbeth
About the Story
Macbeth is a story about a thane who is approached one night, and is told that he would be king. Now, seems to be able to do anything to be king. "Come thick night that my keen knife see not the wound it makes..." How far would you go, to get what you wanted?
Trustworthy
Never told anyone about the encounter he and Macbeth had with the witches, for he knew Macbeth didn't want anyone to be told.
Suspicious
Asked Macbeth why he was up and about so late at night, and question his truth when Macbeth answered an innocent answer.
Altruistic
When his son was about to get killed, Banquo stepped up, told his son to leave, and died for his son.
Reflection
Macbeth
I really enjoyed this story. I loved the mysterious and creepy feel to it. I really liked how Shakespeare portrayed Lady Macbeth, because it seems like women, especially in those days, were stereotyped to not be violent people. Lady Macbeth, she was different. My favorite characters were probably the three witches. They had such power of Macbeth. If it weren't for them, the whole story never would have happened.
