2nd and 3rd Grade Field Day - April 20th
Students should wear tennis shoes and comfortable (dress code appropriate) clothes on Field Day, as well as apply sunscreen that morning. It would be a great idea to send extra water bottles and a hat with your child that day.
Coach D and Coach Lash are in need of volunteers to help run stations that day. If you are available to volunteer, please click on the following link:
Dress Code Reminders

It's always a good idea to leave the sandals, flip flops and dress shoes at home, as our students have PE and/or recess everyday. Tennis shoes are a much safer shoe option for our LVES Vikings, especially on PE days.

Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families! While discussing our character trait of the month, Integrity, students are learning that one way to show integrity is by helping others in need. We invite you to join students at Lago Vista High School on Saturday, April 28 at 10 am at the LVHS one-mile cross-country track to walk and support the cause of WE Walk for Water. Every day, women and children around the world spend 200 million hours fetching water, often from sources full of dangerous contaminants. When #WEwalkForWater communities have access to clean water, girls can attend school, parents can run sustainable farms, and families can break the cycle of poverty. In order to raise funds and awareness for this program, the students are asking for a registration fee donation of $5 for students and $10 for adults. They are also selling t-shirts for additional funds. $25 raises enough money to give one person access to clean water for life! To find out more about this cause, go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALcRLcf8InY&t=2s and to buy t-shirts, go to: https://app.spiritbooster.com/18LVHSKC . You may also email Hannah_taylor@lagovista.txed.net for more information.
Thank you for showing your child that there are many ways to show integrity by doing the right thing for others, as well as themselves!
“If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.” ~Dalai Lama
¡Hola familias LVES!
~Dalai Lama
