Looking for a fun Valentine's Day activity?
- Have students use this template to create digital candy hearts for each other.
- Allow students to create valentine collages using the free Pic Collage Kids app. Students can insert text, photos, and stickers into any collage. This app is available on all cart and K-2 iPads!
- Have students create videos on Animoto using a Valentine's Day theme. Animoto allows users to insert text, photos, short video clips, and music into any video. Pre-registration is required.
Reaching Redefinition
According to the SAMR model, Redefinition occurs when technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously inconceivable. Here is a list of 10 ways to reach the Redefinition level. Google Slides Update
You can *FINALLY* insert your Google Drive videos into a Google Slides presentation! You can choose when to start and end the video, whether it should automatically play while presenting, and whether it should play with or without audio. After inserting the video, right-click on it and select Video options. Click here for directions and more information.

Free Screening of "Most Likely to Succeed"
On Wednesday, March 1, Illinois Computing Educators (ICE) is hosting a Brew n' View at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles. They will be screening "Most Likely to Succeed" (movie trailer here) at the resort from 6-9pm. Food and drink tickets will be provided. The event is free of charge and is open to anyone.
