Main Thing 2: Educator Retention
We know this year has been full of challenges and we want to thank you for hanging in there. Your work makes a difference! On behalf of our students, thank you for staying with education.
Main Thing 3: Attendance Zoning Gallery Walks
We are making great progress on Oakdale Middle School! In April, the public will have the chance to weigh in on proposals built by our Attendance Zoning Committee for new middle school school boundaries to take effect when Oakdale Middle opens in 2023. We need your feedback on the proposals! Feedback will go to our Board of Directors who will make a final decision in May or June. We are having four gallery walks for the community to view the proposed boundaries and offer feedback. For those who don’t care to see the maps in person, we will send the proposals and feedback form electronically by April 12.

Oak Grove: Wednesday, April 13 from 5-6pm

Other Things
Regional Climate Survey
The Regional Climate Survey is closing soon! Make sure to take the survey if you haven’t already. Southern Oregon Regional Educator Network (SOREN) partnered with teachers, union reps, school administrators, and Panorama Education to survey school staff in Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath Counties to get a barometer on how educators are feeling after two very unique school years. Your participation is invitational and completely confidential, which means that no one in your district will ever see your individual responses. The results of this survey will help the SOREN Advisory Team and school districts better understand experiences of educators in our region, so they can celebrate strengths and identify opportunities for the system to improve. We will also be sending out the MSD’s Work Well survey in May as a tool for us to learn how we can better support our staff.
