THEORY of ACTION
Team GOMPERS SUPER HEROS are our TEACHERS!
Sometimes the impact that you have as teachers and support staff is overlooked or taken for granted. Schools are busy places, and teachers and support staff are busy people, so it’s not surprising that sometimes we miss out on chances to stop and reflect upon the influence that you wield over the young people in our care. With the "safer at home" order, our school is a much less busy place, but the people at the heart of the school (YOU) are busier than ever! It is more important now than ever to PAUSE and take a moment to reflect on your importance, your tireless efforts, and our incredible gratitude for each of you!
Often, it’s the little conversations, the easily-forgotten asides, the friendly smile or brief compliment that mean the most to our Gompers students – and while we might forget those moments by the time it comes to write plan the next lesson, or even move on the "the next class," those words can remain with our Webster students for a very long time, shaping their personality and their thoughts.
Thank you for being an ESSENTIAL WORKER whose SUPERPOWER is TEACHING!
So, this week, and every day, thank you to all of you! You are powerful individuals and I am fortunate to work with you!!
Respectfully,
Dr. Miller
