What is Ecstasy?
Ecstasy is a synthetic, psychoactive drug that is related to both the stimulant amphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline. Its effects that the drug is used for are feelings of increased energy, euphoria, emotional warmth and empathy toward others, and distortions in sensory and time perception.
How do you categorize it?
MDMA is a schedule one drug, which means it is the categorized with the most dangerous drugs like heroine and cocaine. It is also a stimulant with hallucinogenic effects which makes it more dangerous than most other drugs.

How do I use it?
MDMA is usually swallowed, usually as a capsule or tablet. Its effects last approximately 3 to 6 hours, although users tend to take a second dose of the drug as the effects of the first dose begin to fade away.

What will happen to me if I use the drug?
MDMA acts by increasing the activity of three neurotransmitters, serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. The surge of serotonin caused by taking MDMA depletes the brain of this important chemical, however, causing negative aftereffects—including confusion, depression, sleep problems, drug craving, and anxiety—that may occur soon after taking the drug or during the days or even weeks thereafter (DrugAbuse.gov). The effects tend to last 3-6 hours after immediate use. The users blood pressure will rise tremendously and the body will begin to lose the ability to regulate blood temperature.
Is it healthy for you?
The drug, MDMA, is not necessarily healthy for you but in the '70's therapists used ecstasy for therapeutic treatments.
Will I become addicted?
It is very uncommon to become addicted and dependent on this drug but in some cases it was reported to be addictive. When the user becomes addicted, the with drawl symptoms are very extreme.
What is something that people lie about Ecstasy?
People may tell you its not bad and all it does is suppress your appetite but there are no studies that prove that.
