Miss Cleasby's 4K News

News for the week of April 15th

Seed/Plant Theme

This week we will continue to watch our sunflower seeds we planted to see if any will sprout! We will draw a new picture in our seed log if we see any changes to our cups. We continue to work hard at writing our name the "Kindergarten Way". Please encourage your child to write it this way ( first letter should be an uppercase letter and the rest of the letters lowercase) anytime they are writing their name. This week we are going to learn a silly song called "Who Let the Letters Out?" by Dr. Jean . We will be making a silly class book to go along with this alphabet/sound review song. Click on the video below to see this silly song!

4K End of the Year Celebration

Please mark your calendar for a fun 4K end of the year celebration on Tuesday, June 4th. The morning class celebration will be held in our classroom (Room 231) from 8:00am- 9:00am and the afternoon class celebration will held at Holland's Preschool from 12:00pm- 1:00pm. We will be singing some songs, watching a slideshow of the school year, and having some treats! We hope everyone can make it! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Jolly Phonics

Our last Jolly Phonics letter sound of the school year is "Qu". Can you believe we have gotten through the whole alphabet?? Times flies when you are having fun and learning :) The action for the letter sound "qu" is to make a duck's beak with your hands, and say qu, qu, qu. Check out the video below to hear a class of student's singing the Jolly Phonic "qu" song.

Star of the Week A.M.

Landon did a fantastic job as "Star of the Week"! Thanks for showing us your glow ball, "bug vacuum", and farm picture book. Also, thanks for having your mom and uncle visit our class and show us two cute baby goats!

Star of the Week P.M.

Super job as "Star of the Week" Brock! Thanks for showing us your beyblades and your other neat toys. Thanks for having your mom visit and teach us the neat "What's missing?" game! The game was a neat way to get to know Brock better and see some items that are special to him.
