What's Up in the Tech World
Welcome Back!
It will be interesting to see if we can have something close to a "normal" week this week. I hope you all enjoyed our very cold Friday. Just remember, several years back there were students in Birmingham (my nephews were two of them) who ended up sleeping at their schools because parents could not get to them. Stephen also told me about his boss at the theater who had to sleep under a pile of lost and found clothing because the corporate office controls the heat and automatically turns it off when the theater should be closed. It is better to err on the side of caution :) I really like you all but I don't think I want to have a sleep-over at school!
I will be at Lower Campus on Tuesday until 12:30 and all Wednesday until 1:30. Please let me know what I can do to help you this week.
I have included some interesting links I found this week. Remember, everything I send won't work for everyone, just choose what looks interesting to you!
Free Webinar - January 10th
This is a free webinar aimed at teaching students how to study. The method used takes about 10 minutes to teach. This method would be especially good for middle school students. Registration available at the link below.
A Great Way to Assess Learning
Having students explain a concept in their own words is a great way to assess learning. This article includes information on ways students can record a podcast using the Chromebooks. If this is something that interests you, please let me know, I would be glad to help!
