Bright Lights from Glenwood

January News

Concert News

Our K-2 Winter Concert will take place at the Greenfield High School PAC at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. Be ready to take video and pictures of the wonderful songs that our students have been practicing and are excited to share with a larger audience.

Peanut Butter Drive

Glenwood Elementary will be partnering with the Greenfield Fire Department and the Hunger Task force to host a food drive to help them stock up on a popular item that can be used for breakfast, lunch, and dinner: PEANUT BUTTER!

The peanut butter drive will run until February 28th when the Hunger Task Force will be coming to pick up all the jars of peanut butter.

We are hosting a friendly competition and the grade level that brings in the most jars of peanut butter will get a special visit from the Greenfield Fire Department and tour one of their fire engines here at Glenwood when the weather gets nicer.

Pizza and A Show

Please join us on Thursday, January 18th for Pizza and a Show. Pizza for the whole family costs $5.00 and a sign up sheet should be coming home shortly. Dinner will be served in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. and the hour long show starts at 6:15 p.m. in the gym. You can chose to skip dinner and just come for the show which is free. Come watch Jason Kollum, a comedian who juggles, is a balloon artist and stilt walker, entertain the crowd.

Glenwood School Day Fundraiser with the Milwaukee Admirals

Mark your calendar! Come out and support Glenwood Elementary School on Saturday, February 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the Milwaukee Admirals Panther Arena for the Glenwood Elementary School Day Fundraiser. $4.00 from each ticket purchase will benefit our school. A link to purchase tickets will be sent to families very soon.

Winter Recess

This is a reminder that we go outside for recess if the temperature and wind chill are above zero degrees. Recess is a part of the school day so make sure your child is dressed for the weather. Finally, students are not able to stay inside for recess unless they have a medical excuse. Please notify the office if you have questions.
