PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELL RESPIRATION
By: Chandler Blair
Photosynthesis
Function: To capture energy and store it in sugars
Location: Chloroplast
Reactants: Water and Carbon Dioxide
Products: Oxygen and Glucose
Type of Cell: Plant
Cellular Respiration
Function: Release energy that was stored in sugar
Location: Mitochondria
Reactants: Oxygen and cellulose
Products: Water and Carbon Dioxide
Type of Cell: Both plant and animal cells
How are they related?
The reactants of photosynthesis are water and carbon dioxide, and the products are oxygen and glucose. Oxygen and glucose are cellular respiration's reactant, and water and carbon dioxide are the products. Its like a big cycle.
