Thank you for your teamwork with ACP testing last week! We have finally arrived to the last three days of school! As we gather this week to acknowledge your students for their effort and achievements this year in their awards assemblies, remember that these are three precious days you get to spend with your students. You've worked ALL year to invest in their lives and as they age out of your classroom and grade level, there's no turning back! Celebrate them this week and let them know that even though you may not be their teacher next year, their future success is so important to you!
Here is important information for this coming week:
3R, LPDAS evaluation conversations will be held by June 3. I want to thank all who have participated in summative conversations and thank you again for your feedback as we begin to prepare for the 2016-2017 school year!
End-of-the-year awards assemblies are this week! Be sure to remember your time slot and double-check that each student in your homeroom class has at least one award! For this day, it is a good idea to dress professionally as parents and families are invited to attend. Here is a brief rundown of the agenda for each assembly:
- Opening remarks by Quinton.
- First teacher in "A" section comes to stage and gives a brief introduction of their homeroom to the audience.
- Students line up at the side door to the stage (please have a colleague assist you with lining up students).
- Students are called one by one on stage and remain on the stage with their awards until all students have been announced.
- Parents and families may take photos of the homeroom for a brief moment before the next homeroom begins.
- If any grade level teams have a song or a video they would like to present, this is done last.
- Closing remarks by Quinton.
From Mrs. Johnson: Teachers, please be prepared to load up your books and return them to the bookroom Tuesday, May 31st during your planning period. Two TAs will be available to assist you. To expedite the counting process, please load the books at your front door in alternates of 5. We plan to have 100% completion Tuesday. Thank you for your help!
Business Day is this Thursday! Please be sure to pay your students before they pass through the bazaar!
If you you have any questions about your end-of-year checkout lists, please ask! All classrooms must be checked by Quinton before a completed checklist can be completed!
For all additional "stuff" that's due within the next few weeks, please click on the button below so that you stay in the loop! This is the same sheet I gave teachers during our meeting last Tuesday.
Have an awesome LAST THREE DAYS of school!
