Acton Weekly Update 12/6/19
Things to Know
Winter Party Volunteers: Please remember to invite parents to come in to help with the class parties on 12/20 at 3:00 and that they can join us for the sing-a-long at 2:00. At PTO it was mentioned that parents didn't think they were invited in for parties anymore. WE WANT OUR FAMILIES TO JOIN US FOR THESE CELEBRATIONS. Please reach out through your grade level newsletters and class communication.
Santa Shop schedule for Friday. The Santa Shop will be in the LGI room all day. A volunteer will come to your class at the approximate time on the schedule to pick up students who have money for the Santa Shop. Please have them ready before the volunteer comes so they can get to the store quickly and not lose time waiting for students to get their money. If students did not bring money, they do not go down. They will have an opportunity to shop Friday evening during the Cookies with Santa event. This is our first time running the shop so times are approximate and may need to adjust slightly throughout the day.
Thanks!

Reminders:
- Students can start to use "I need to see the school counselor" forms. Please email me if you would like me to come in and do a lesson on determining the size of our problems and therefore when we need help from an adult or when we can solve it on our own.
- Please send home parent's needs assessments!
- If you notice your student needs a backpack, coat, gloves, hats, clothes, shoes please let me know. Even if you are unsure if they need a new one, I can make that call home.
Have a great weekend!

FTCSC Hedgehog Focus
The Hedgehog Concept is based on an ancient Greek parable that states, "The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing." ... Hedgehogs, however, simplify the world and focus on a single, overarching vision, which they then achieve.
