Literature Circles - Flush by Carl Hiaasen
Literature Circles provide a way for students to engage in critical thinking and reflection as they read, discuss and respond to books. Collaboration is at the heart of this approach. Students have the ability to reshape and add onto their understanding as they construct meaning with other readers.
Students are required to read and prepare "role sheets" for each assigned discussion. These roles within the group, help to define and guide their discussion for that day.
We are HALFWAY through the novel and will be pushing forward in the next few weeks to complete our study.
