FPCS Student Government Goes to Healy
We are proud to mention that our students (Sha Jackson, Carson Kress, Hannah Marcellus and Rachel Tayman), and their advisor Teresa Kress went to the Statewide Conference for the Alaska Association of Student Governments in Healy last week! They were able to work together with student governments from all over the state to bring resolutions that would help their respective communities. Our team brought a resolution to increase correspondence school funding from 90% to 100%. They were able to get their resolution approved and the next step is working with ASD and our legislators to see this through! While they were in Healy, they were able to tour Usibelli Coal Mine and have some fun in their workshops!
