Wildcat Press Newsletter
Volume 3, Issue 9 ~ October 30, 2022
Principal's Message
Hello Pride,
Well it took almost 3 years, but I finally sent the wrong newsletter to the wrong group. Now you got to see what I send to the faculty each week...
Here is the actual Wildcat Press for the week - sorry for the confusion.
Good Evening, I hope everyone is doing well and had a nice weekend. It's that crazy time in Arizona when you have to get up and turn on the heat, then shut the heat off and open the doors and windows before the afternoon when you close them and turn the air back on. The beauty of our amazing state!
I want to take a couple of minutes to thank our staff and students for all of the hard work they have been putting in. The Wildcat staff continues to amaze me as they work to get better everyday. Not only do they do their very best, but they continue to search out and attend professional development opportunities that will help them make our students better learners and thinkers. They are not resting on what has always worked, because what has always worked doesn't anymore. Our students continue to give effort every day. They continue to ask us to just give them the answers as well, however that's not how we do things at MHS. We want to challenge your student, we want them to learn to work hard and value the knowledge they gain. So when the work doesn't look the same or your student seems to be struggling, that is good, it means they are learning. If they need help see the tutoring schedule below, check out our 24/7 online tutoring at NetTutor or wherever else you can find the knowledge you need to solve the problem.
As the witching hour (Halloween) is upon us, please make sure all our children are safe out there. Then we move into the season of giving, first giving thanks and then presents. I want to ask that you remember to show your families that it isn't about the money, but the thought and meaning. If you look at this weeks quote it will remind you that don't wait for what you have to give to be enough. Give what you have and when combined with others, we meet the needs of the most.
Please have a great week and thanks for sharing your kids with us, we are truly blessed by them.

HALLOWEEN!
Monday is Halloween and we know that students may want to come to school in a costume. If a student wears a costume to school, there are some guidelines to follow -
1 - No masks/face coverings
2 - No weapons
3 - Follow school dress code as far as body coverage is concerned
If you chose to wear a costume, please use common sense and make sure it is school appropriate :)

Season to Season
As we start practice and tryouts for the winter season, I want to wish all of our student athletes best of luck. I also want to take a minute to say thank you to the student athletes that represented us this fall. In some cases we may have fallen short of our goal in the Wins column, however I think overall we became better. The beauty of High School sports is the the goal of everyone is to strive to win, to do our very best. If we fall short on the scoreboard, but do these things and it doesn't go our way we should still hold our heads high. Only one team goes home at the end of the season winning their last game. We are earning our share of those, but it is a new process every year and I think we upheld these standards this fall.
GO CATS!!!
