WASC Accreditation Survey

At the beginning of March 2023, Norco High School will be going through the process of being accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Accreditation is a process through which schools demonstrate that they meet certain standards of educational quality. The WASC Accrediting Commission for Schools (WASC ACS) is one of six regional accrediting organizations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

We are seeking input from parents and guardians AND our students, as part of the process. By completing the survey, you can provide valuable feedback and insights that can help Norco High improve and meet the standards required for accreditation. You input and feedback is a valuable part of the accreditation process and we thank you in advance for supporting Norco High by participating in the survey.

Survey links can be found below. Surveys will close on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 7pm.

Temescal Avenue Drainage Construction - Week of January 16, 2023

The City of Norco has notified us that they will begin construction on Monday, January 16, 2023 to replace the drainage system underneath the road in front of Norco High School on Temescal Avenue. This construction is expected to take 1 week. There will be an impact on traffic, especially during drop off before school and pickup after school. We know this will cause further congestion to our already busy street. We are asking that you adhere to the following:

  • NO DROP OFF or PICK UP in the RED CONSTRUCTION ZONE (see map below) from 7am to 5pm daily.
  • NO standing, waiting, or parking your vehicle in the RED CONSTRUCTION ZONE (see map below) from 7am to 5pm daily.
  • Keep 2-way traffic on Temescal Avenue flowing. Do not stop your vehicle on Temescal Avenue to wait or pick up your student and block traffic in front of the school.
  • NO PARKING in the center lane on Temescal Avenue.
  • AVOID using the YELLOW BUS LANE (see map below). This lane is strictly for bussing.
  • Pedestrian sidewalk in front of the school will be closed and unavailable to foot traffic.

If any person or vehicle chooses to not comply with the above listed items, you may receive a citation from Riverside Sheriff. Please work with us to ensure the safety of our students and staff during this temporary construction.
