courage is not the absence of fear ,but rather the judgement that something eles is more important than fear
Imagery
''take this kiss upon the brow!''(1)
This describes that He's offering a girl a kiss , and also it seems that the speaker is saying goodbye to this girl but we don,t know wheres he's going.
''i stand amid the roar of a surf-tormented shore''(12)
this meaning he's being bothered, harassed, or pounded by the surf of the ocean, and the roar could be some really loud waves.
''i hold within my hands grains of golden sand''(15)
the speaker is trying to convinces himself that everything around him is real and not just a illusion within a dream.

rhythm is taking place in both these stanzas
''yet has it flown away''
the author is saying that he doesn't want that person to leave yet.
''all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream''
the author is saying that he's trap't in a dream and if he escapes then its just a anthor dream within a dream

meaning that the speaker is feeling bummed out and the sands in his hands representing reality in his hands but its slipping away.
''in a night, or day in day, in a vision, or in none''(6-9)
the speaker isn't ready to hit the road alone and he's thinking about it day and night .

Why i like this poem.....
i like this poem because it shows the poet feelings at the time and they put alot of time into this poem but the down fall is that its a sad poem and it takes the reader feeling to the poet feeing in his points so over all its a good poem .
