November 2016

Family Fun Night

November 4th from 5:00-8:00 PM is Central's annual Family Fun Night. This event is organized by the Central PTO to raise money for the school's Teacher Grant Program and other school needs. The PTO has worked hard this year with adding additional games & activities, increasing the amount of donations for our auctions, and fine tuning the existing process from entry to the check out process. During the evening your student can spend time in the gym playing on the bounces houses (we've added a few new options this year) or play various games located in the Kindergarten and 1st grade hallway.

While we are excited for the children and families to have the opportunity to visit and play, we ask that parents supervise children as the move from activity to activity. Last year we had a couple of close calls with children running through the hallways.

We will also have 2 air brush tattoo stations and a photo booth, which is new this year. Back by popular demand we will have a game where students can win a live fish (1 per student). Please feel free to invite your extended family and neighbors for a fun filled family night full of activities.

Entry Fee

To attend, all students/ children over the age of 3 must have a wrist band that can be purchased for $8 by November 2nd or $10 at the door. Your student should have received the form at school, if not, please go to the link below to download the form.

If you are purchasing the wrist bands at the door for $10, we will accept cash, check or credit card payments. Wrist bands must be worn throughout the entire evening.

We are in need of volunteers to assist us with various games and other needs. Please take a minute to volunteer for a shift by clicking on the link below. Please remember, that in order for us to offer these games it is critical that we have volunteers.

Silent & Live Auction

We will have a silent and live auction once again this year. The silent auction items will include all teacher baskets, teacher special event items, and some local donations from the community. You will be able to bid on items throughout the evening until 7:45 PM. The live auction will be for larger value items such as a bike, Disney, Pacers & Colts tickets, etc. In order to bid on these items you MUST have a bid number. You can get your bid number as you enter the building or anytime prior to the auction. The live auction will start promptly at 6:45 PM. Once the auctions end you will be able to pay for your items with cash, check or credit card. We would prefer cash or check due to the credit card fee, however, we will accommodate all credit cards. Please remember that 100% of the money raised with the auctions will go to the PTO to fund various school needs. Please check out our Facebook page for pictures of auction items - Central Elementary PTO. This is by far our biggest selection of auction items!

Additional Costs

This year we will have pizza, Chick-fil-A sandwiches and an assortment of drinks and snacks. The food is an additional cost, however, we do our best to keep it at a reasonable amount to cover our costs. The uPaint Pottery Studio will be the only activity that will be an additional charge. They will have a station setup in the cafeteria with selected items to paint ranging from $4-$10. A portion of their sales will be donated to Central Elementary PTO.
