2018 Sweetwater Solar Sprint (3rd Annual)

This is a middle schools' program to harness the power of the sun! This event will take place early in the fall. Stay tuned for more details and updates HERE.

2019 Sweetwater "STEM Research Fair"

Back in the good old days, we used to have "Science Fairs", in recent years we updated our event to its real name "Science and Engineering Fair", but NOW we are upgrading, revamping, and renaming our traditional science fair into "STEM Research Fair" to capture what the fair is all about - playing, discovering, and researching with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)


This event will take place in February 2019 - Start planning & Be part of the change!

2018 Sweetwater Science and Engineering Fair

2018 South Bay Pumpkin Smash

Coming again this fall! "Game of Throws" Teams of students work together to design, build, test, and compete with medieval-style technology throwing pumpkins. The event will take place on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. Stay tuned for details HERE.

NAVAIR / SWEETWATER DRONE CHALLENGE

High School students build their drones using 3D printed mechanical parts and from a common kit of electrical components guided by engineers from NAVAIR.

Palomar Community College is offering a FREE online (and self-paced) Drone Safety and Applications class. Course content: Introduction to Drones, Applications, Part 107, Crew Safety and Maintenance, Safety Tips and Regulations, and Mission Planning
