Alan Yanke is new principal at Scott High School
The KCSD welcomes Alan Yanke as the new principal of Scott High School.
Mr. Yanke has 30 years in education including 8 years as the Assistant Principal & Athletic Director at North Oldham.
Most recently, he was the Assistant Principal at Scott High School
Misty Jones named new Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent/Board Secretary
The KCSD is proud to announce Misty Jones as the new Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent/Board Secretary. Misty has spent 18 years in the KCSD. She’s been at Beechgrove, Hinsdale and most recently in the Accounts Payable Department.
Virtual Learning Center Information for 2022-23
Students in grades K-12 may participate in a rigorous online learning platform at no cost to the family. To participate in full-time virtual learning, students and parents must complete the Full-Time Virtual Learning application, submit the completed application to their KCSD school of residence, and then the application must be approved by their building principal.
The parents will be notified by the school of the approval timeline and if the application was approved or denied.
Students accepted in full-time virtual learning will be able to utilize the district resources, such as tutoring and counseling. Additionally, students accepted in full-time virtual learning will be able to participate in extracurricular activities at the school of residence including: sports, clubs, etc.

Spotlight on Technology Internship Program
The students are being mentored by the KCSD Technology Staff and gaining hands-on experience with device imaging & repairs, helping with network design and upgrades and troubleshooting and solving technology programs.
