For the Safety of All Our Students
Arrival & Dismissal Times
Transportation Changes
Any time a transportation plan differs from your child’s normal routine, parents must send a note to school. For the safety of your child, we require that all transportation changes be made in writing. Students should bring transportation changes to the office first thing in the morning. If they do not, a faxed copy of the request, together with a picture of the parent's driver's license, must be received by 2:30 PM. If you are picking up your child prior to dismissal, please make arrangements to do so before 3:00 PM. We are not able to make last-minute transportation changes after 3:00 PM. Once car riders are located in the front of the building, visitors may not be allowed to enter so that we can safely move students to their cars.

R-E-A-D! It’s time to READ,READ, READ!!!
CFISD Elementary Schools 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade students will be participating in the NAME THAT BOOK PROGRAM. The mission of the Name That Book (NTB) Program is to foster a life-long love of reading in all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. A list of books that encompasses a wide variety of genres has been provided, and students are encouraged to read as many as possible.
This program culminates annually with a series of contests to celebrate the students’ comprehensive knowledge of the books. The 100 books are chosen by CFISD librarians and are available at your library. In November, students will form teams within their grade levels. For the time being, they need to be reading the 100 books on the Name That Book List. You may go to your school’s ilbrary Home Page and find the list of books under the Name That Book link. Happy Reading!!!
