Making the most of learning opportunities

Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto

Teachers often feel that for professional development they have to choose between face-to-face workshops OR online courses. Smart teachers take advantage of both! In our morning session, we'll explore and compare face-to-face and online professional develop options available to teachers in Japan, both free and paid. In the process, we'll work together to come up with a professional development plan that's perfect for your unique needs.

Motivating Ourselves and Others

Chuck Sandy

What is motivation? What does motivation look like and feel like? Where does it come from? How can it be nurtured and sustained? How can we motivate ourselves? How can we motivate others? How can we use motivation to drive our learning, our teaching, and our professional development? How can we take something that is essentially invisible inside us and make it visible in such a powerful way that it shines through all we do? These are the questions we will be exploring in my very interactive Sunday afternoon workshop. At the end of the afternoon you'll be motivated to take the next steps in your teaching, learning, and professional development as educators. And we'll have fun, too :-)
