Weekly Updates for Oct 12 - 16
Message from the Principal
Last week was very exciting as we went to Phase 3 and more students are on campus for instruction! Everyone on campus is doing a great job of following the safety guidelines. By following these expectations we are hoping to see more of you soon. All of this depends on everyone doing their part to stay safe and well during this time. We will send more information regarding Phase 4 as soon as we know when they will start.
This past week we had activities with numerous groups competing or performing. Groups involved are Cross Country, volleyball, team tennis, football, CTJ marching band, Cheer, Dance, Debate, and JROTC teams! Every week we have more groups and teams getting active with their activities and games! Please check the information below or the calendar on the CTJ webpage for information about games and activities!
This is the last week of the first nine week grading period. Please continue to work hard and keep up with your work and attendance. When you have a question, please reach out to your teacher first as they can help you directly.
Sincerely,
Gary Comalander - Principal

Attendance & Grades Reminders
We have one week left in the first nine week grading period. Please check with your child for missing work and attendance. The majority of failing grades are due to a student being 'absent' during the live session and either not logging in through Launchpad and completing the attendance check so they can get attendance credit before midnight.
Attendance: please help remind your son/daughter that they must login through Launchpad (especially during asynchronous time) and do the attendance check before midnight each day to gain attendance credit for each class. Going straight to the Zoom link because it is faster will cause attendance issues.
Grades: Please communicate with the teacher regarding blank or Missing grades. Please encourage your son/daughter to get work turned in on time.
Please encourage and check with your son/daughter that they are online live as much as possible. Skyward Family Access portal is a great place to check on their progress.
We have finished 8 weeks of the first 9 week grading period. With 1 week to go, now is the time to finish up any missing work.
We appreciate everything you are doing in these tough times and tough learning situations. Please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher, counselor, or administrator when needing help or when you have questions.
