Clothesline Project
Facilitated by Victim Services
Stop by Ferris Lounge Today!
This project serves as a purpose to bear witness to the survivors, as well as the victims, of violence. It is used to educate, document, and raise society's awareness of the extent of the problem of violence. It is also used to help with the healing process for people who have lost a loved one or are survivors of violence.
Take the Pledge to Start Believing Today in the Ferris Lounge!
Start by Believing!
Only 1 in 5 rapes are reported to law enforcement. Even fewer are prosecuted. In fact, less than 3% of rapes result in the perpetrator being convicted and incarcerated.
It’s time to end this cycle of silence, and change the way we respond to sexual assault.
It all starts with you. Make your personal commitment to Start by Believing.
- I pledge to Start by Believing when someone tells me about their sexual assault.
- I pledge to help survivors on the road to justice and recovery.
- I pledge to end the cycle of silence.
