Heros

Hall of Heros
A hero can be anyone. Heros don't have to be strong, have superpowers, or know how to fly. If you know anything about history, or about the people who made an impact on America, then you know Alice Paul.
“When you put your hand to the plow, you can't put it down until you get to the end of the row.” (Paul, Alice) A quote from Alice Paul herself. Paul helped bring out some amazing achievements among women all over America. Alice being a social reformer, a women rights activist, and a lawyer knew a lot about being successful and being a determined women. She ran a very successful campaign for women’s suffrage. She also worked at the NAWSA (The National American Woman Suffrage Association). "There will never be a new world order until women are a part of it." (Paul, Alice) Paul wanted America to be a world where women felt like a part of it. Although, she was sent to jail many times for supporting women having the right to vote, she never stopped fighting. She even used starving herself as a strike method. Alice Paul faced many challenges to reach her goal, she had been beaten, called names, and force fed through her mouth and nostrils. The important thing was, she never gave up.
As a result, her efforts had come to an end. In the 20th century, the government finally gave women the right to vote. All thanks to Alice Paul all women have more freedom, rights, and we also have a voice to speak publically about our options politically, socially, and economically, just as men do. I consider her a hero because she never stopped fighting and she never gave up. Because of her, once I am of age I will have the right to vote. If she hadn't fought for what she thought was right then we would live in a world where women were treated as second class people. In her fight, she showed bravery, kindness, and respect. That’s why Alice Paul is a hero. She may not be Superman, but she saved the world.Hero's Journey
