Then begin uploading student work. You're welcome to have your NMS or BHS mentors assist your students in uploading work into their portfolios. Please have at least 2 artifacts of learning for reading, writing, and math uploaded during this next grading period.

- Paloma Creek:: M/T AM, R Full Day, F PM
As soon as Strickland is able to replace Heather, she will join our staff!
Below is a message from Heather to help us get to know her better.
I am so thankful to have the opportunity to work with students, parents, and staff in the Braswell zone. I have served as a middle school counselor in Denton ISD for the past 12 years. I started out at Crownover Middle School as a guidance counselor. After working there for 2 years, I moved to Strickland Middle School where I worked as both an at-risk and guidance counselor. Prior to join Denton ISD, I taught Special Education in Carrollton Farmers Branch at an Alternative Education Placement.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and soon after completed an alternative certification in teaching through ECAP. I received a Master’s in Counseling Education from the University of North Texas in 2005. Following my master’s degree, I completed my Licensure in Professional Counseling or L.P.C. while working at Strickland Middle School.
