StoryArk Embraces Storytelling
And is the umbrella 501(c)(3) for The Shire, Voices and HUSH
Stories build bridges, provide meaning, interweave communities
As the umbrella 501(c)(3) for The Shire, Voices in the Valley and #HUSHpodcast, StoryArk nurtures storytelling in all of its diversity across the generations and through multiple media. Whether fiction or non-fiction, episodic novel, short film, long film, personal narrative or radio interview, stories provide meaning and context, shape who we are, give us a sense of identity and inspire us to go new directions. The narratives we tell not only transform ourselves, but society as well. By sharing our stories, we impact ourselves, our community, our culture, our country and even our world.
StoryArk operates to:
- Provide educational opportunities, training and mentorship regarding the art of storytelling
- Offer opportunities to develop the art of storytelling within and between diverse communities
- Support the art of storytelling to local communities through various mediums by enabling platforms that provide an opportunity for stories to be heard
What's your story? How are you going to tell it?
Say it, write it, film it, sing it, draw it.
Because it matters.
