JUNE 7, 2021
PV Families,
We have had a year filled with unexpected twists and turns in dealing with in-person and virtual school through a pandemic. I want to thank all of you for your grace and support as we have worked to navigate these unprecedented times together. I also want to say how proud I am of all of our students who have weathered this year and have grown academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a school, we have seen our student engagement percentages rise to higher levels throughout the year for our students who were in both our in-person and virtual school environments. Our staff has worked to identify areas in need of growth and then has engaged students in the process of determining actions that would grow those areas. We have also seen our students make great growth in our identified goal areas of reading and math. Our ability to personalize instruction during our instructional time has been instrumental in all of our instructional plans for our students. Finally, our staff engagement has also risen to 96% favorability this year which shows their high level of engagement to create the environmental conditions for all of our students to succeed.
On a closing note, I am excited to see what is next for our Pleasant View community next year as we build on the successes from this year. I am also filled with a mix of emotions personally as I embark on my new journey as the Director of Teaching and Learning Services in Whitefish Bay Schools. I am excited at my next steps for the new position in Whitefish Bay and also sad to leave such a great place to learn, grow, and connect with so many amazing staff, students, and families in Franklin. I wish all of you the absolute best this summer and for the upcoming 2021-22 school year.
With Panther Pride,
Jamie J. Foeckler, Ph.D.
