The Wildcat Way

December 2021

Let us Glow, Let us Glow, Let us Glow!

The month of December can rush right by, with decorating, planning, travel, shopping and everything else that comes with the month. But here at Silas we wanted to slow down and shine the light on some of the incredibly awesome things that are happening in our school!

Attendance

Since the beginning of the school year, our school has had an average attendance of 94%! This is an incredible achievement, especially considering the current situation we are all dealing with! As wonderful as 94% is, we'd love to make our attendance grow even more!

The Appearance of the "Smiley Face People"

Right around the middle of November, bright and colorful lille smiley face people have been popping up throughout Silas. No one knows where they came from, or how they got there, but we do know this: once a student finds one and brings it to the office, they are rewarded with a prize! Pretty cool of the smiley guys to pop up around our school. Next time you're in the building, see if you can spot one of our friendly smileys!

Showing Kindness and Respect

Two of the main themes the Wildcats have been working on in our day to day at school is working on showing kindness and respect. It's been really awesome to see our Wildcats find ways to make others feel great by being kind and respectful to others, themselves, and the world around us!
