Web Tool of the Week: Padlet

Boost Student Engagement with Padlet

Formerly known as WallWisher, Padlet is a virtual bulletin board, and students create virtual sticky notes on their devices. They posts show up instantly on the pad, so everyone can view one another's posts instantly! A note can contain text, a link, an image, a video, or a document upload. Every student has a say, every voice is heard.

Padlet is a web-based tool (padlet.com) that can work on a computer or iPad. Students can access Padlet through a shared URL (link) or QR Code.

Math Vocabulary Wall with Padlet

Padlet can be a great tool to keep interactive word walls or math vocabulary walls. Students are able to add images, text, links and videos to the Padlet post.

Teacher's Guide to Using Padlet in Class

Padlet is a great platform for bookmarking and sharing digital content. Since in its launch a few years ago, Padlet (formerly Wallwisher) has undergone several great updates that make it an ideal tool to use with students in class.

Using Padlet for Brainstorming!

In my classroom, I used Padlet as a virtual KWL chart for the Iditarod and our Genius Hour proposals. In Mrs. Harvel's 5th Grade classroom, we used Padlet to help us brainstorm for Genius Hour and generate ideas of what each student is passionate about.
