Weekly Character Challenge
Each week, New Providence highlights student leaders who are demonstrating good character skills such as using the quiet signal, showing Roary's expectations, and/or exemplifying kindness. As a student shows one of these skills, they are presented with a ticket. That ticket is put into a box and names are drawn at the end of each week.

DHEC Flu Vaccine Clinic at NPE on 10/26
Dear Parents:
We know how important your children are to you and how much you want to keep them healthy.
Knowing this, New Providence Elementary School partnered with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control to make flu vaccinations available to your child on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
There will be no cost to you or your child for this optional flu shot or nasal spray. If applicable, payment from your insurer or Medicaid may be made to DHEC on your behalf. You will note that the form asks for that information.
If you have not already had your child vaccinated this year and are interested in getting your child vaccinated at school:
1. Go to https://apps.dhec.sc.gov/health/SCIAPPS/Public/SLVCValidate using your smart telephone, computer, or tablet and enter 13201065 as your validation code. [Please register only students attending New Providence Elementary School with this school code. Students attending other schools will need to be registered with their school’s code.]
2. Complete the online parent consent form and submit it to DHEC.
The online consent closes Thursday, October 19, 2023 at midnight. You will not be able to register your student once the online consent closes.
If your child is under the age of 9, he/she may need to get a second flu shot in order to receive the best protection. DHEC will notify you if your child will need a second flu shot.
If you decide not to participate in our vaccination clinic, but are interested in your child getting the vaccine, we encourage you to contact your child’s healthcare provider or health department.
If, after you submit the online Parent Consent Form, there are any changes in your child’s health or you decide you no longer want your child to receive the flu shot at school, please contact the DHEC Regional Immunization Office at (803) 995-0038 before the scheduled vaccination clinic.
Thank you for all that you do at home to keep our students healthy and ready to learn.
If you have any questions about the flu clinic, please call the district’s nursing and health services director at 803-821-3794.
