BC Bear Facts
WEEKLY EDITION - March 30 - April 3rd
See What's New!
We are entering our third week of school closure in this unprecedented time in the world around us. We want to assure you that we have been working behind the scenes to ensure that we continue to provide learning opportunities and support for our students and families as we move forward.
We have learned today that we will not be returning to school after Spring Break. Therefore, we will be moving to an online learning format beginning Tuesday, April 14th. This format of learning will begin April 14th and continue until further notice. You will hear more about this from our district office later this week. As I mentioned in the School Message sent home today, Monday, the first order of business is to make sure our students have a device to use as well as WiFi access. See below for more information about Chromebook distribution.
During this time of school closure, you will receive a Bear Facts newsletter once a week on Mondays. It will contain items you should know as we navigate distance learning together as students, parents, and educators. You will also find and re-aloud section of the newsletter that contains a video link to a familiar face of a staff member connecting with our students through books.
As we all navigate these new waters, remember to look for the helpers. :)
All my best,
Tina Croes

The 2019-2020 yearbook is still on!
If you haven't purchased your yearbook yet, there is still time. From this point on, books must be ordered online. Our yearbook advisor, Melody Alspach, wants to see what you are doing as you shelter-in-place and are practicing social distancing and distance learning. Please email her pictures that could possibly be included in the yearbook. If you have any pictures of previous school activities, feel free to send those as well (see instructions below). If we do not return to school this year, Lifetouch will mail books to those who have purchased one.
Ordering and picture submission information: Pictures can be emailed to Melody at malspach@eesd.net. Pictures need to be at least 1MB. If you email a picture that is on an iPhone, please choose the “actual size” option.
To order your yearbook go to ybpay.com. Our school code is 11517120.
