CHS Community Read Book Club
CHS is partnering with the Coronado Public Library and the Coronado Arts Commission to bring the Community Read to our students! The Coronado Community Read is an annual program that encourages residents to join together in the shared experience of reading and discussing one book. The year's selection, The Library Book by Susan Orlean, is about the largest library fire in U.S. history which destroyed nearly half a million books at the Los Angeles Public Library. Along the way, the book explores the history of the L.A. Public Library and the arson investigation following the fire.
Students can participate in the 2020 Coronado Community Read by signing up for the CHS Community Read Book Club in the Library. The Book Club will meet at lunch in the CHS Library to discuss the book on March 2nd and March 16th. Participating students will receive a free copy of the book. This event is only open to CHS students. Contact the CHS Librarian, Ms. Rickards, to sign-up!
