We are Thankful!
At this time of Thanksgiving we, the Oakdale Staff, want you to know how thankful we are for you, our Oakdale families. Our Tigers are all learning and growing and the support you give both them and us is so appreciated. Please know your partnership with us does make a difference in your child’s success. We hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Veterans Day Celebration
Please join us in honoring our Oakdale Community Veterans this Veterans Day with a reverse Veterans Day Parade on Wednesday, November 11th from 10:30-10:55 a.m! Please invite your family members, neighbors, and friends who are past and current service men and women of all branches of our Armed Services to join us on this special day. Our students and staff will be lining the Oakdale drop off and pick up lane to welcome our honorees as they drive through our cue.
On this day all members of the Oakdale Community of Learners will be wearing red, white, and blue. Please talk with your Tiger about the veterans who may be in your family or circle of friends to invite them to our special event!
* In case of inclement weather, we will send a school messenger email and text message by 9:00 am to alert families that the event will be cancelled.

Extended Campus Learners
Families will indicate if they want to participate in extended campus learning for second semester through an application process.
- The application will be open for PK-6th grade students November 10th - December 1st and will be sent out via email to families from the district office.
- Extended campus learning applications will be reviewed at the building level before a student is granted extended campus learning placement for second semester. Students and families may be required to attend a meeting (virtual or in person) with a building representative before placement is approved.
This application MUST be completed for any family planning to learn from home second semester, including those who are currently extended campus learners.
For students physically attending school, in-person learning for second semester will begin for all students on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Families planning on learning at school do NOT need to complete any paperwork or this application. This message pertains ONLY to families who want to learn from home second semester. Please continue reading for important changes to programming and delivery of instruction at each level.
During the first semester, we were flexible with families because it was a new model and there were some unknowns. Because we are making changes to the extended campus model that involve staffing allocations, once a family chooses a placement for the second semester, no changes will be made for the rest of the school year.
