Ahu Ola Awa Ceremony

New Ahu Ola Dedicated at Medical School

The new Ahu Ola, or healing shrine, was built in the Kaka`ako campus Mala La'au Lapau'au (Healing Garden) using traditional Native Hawaiian techniques and was dedicated in an Awa Ceremony earlier this month. In case you missed it, you can go directly to our Vimeo or click play above. Our video has also been added by the AAMC to the The Group on Institutional Advancement's 2014 Virtual Film Festival. You can also read more about the construction of the Ahu Ola on our UHMEDNow blog.
