Xerxes came to power because his grandfather founded the empire he lived in.
Some of his family members are Darius 1(Father), Atossa(Mother), Cyrus the Great(Grandfather), Artaxerxes of Persia 1(Son).
Xerxes Was known for his involvment in many projects in the empire.
Personality
Xerxes was a very busy man always trying to make his empire bigger and better.
Downfall
Xerxes started to spend too much money on buildings and too much on the greece exepidtion. It put a huge strain on the empire. The people had enough of Xerxes and he was assassinated by Minister Artabanus. His son then took the throne and finished the buildings plans.
Contributions to Egypt
While Xerxes was leader he maintained the roadways in the empire, also made a new palace.
Military
Xerxes spent four years preparing for his expedition to greece. He had the largest and most well equipped fighting force at that time.
