As we start the year teachers have been introducing expectations for students around behavior, electronics, tardies, hallways, closed campus and lunchtime expectations to help us create a safe and positive learning environment.
Thank you for supporting your students in getting this year off to such a positive start!

Lockdown Drill/Simulacro de Cierre Total
Oak Street Families,
Next week, our school will conduct a lockdown drill. We cannot share the exact date and time of the drill. The purpose of a lockdown drill is to practice the response to an active threat inside our school. Staff will prepare students for the drill and support individual students as needed. We expect students to follow their teacher’s instructions, silence their cell phones, and remain quiet. Classes that are outside of the school will evacuate off of school grounds and will not go inside the school. The drill will end with a District official or School Resource Officer identifying themselves, unlocking each classroom with a key, and letting students and
staff know that everything is clear and the drill has concluded. Learn more about safety drills and the Standard Response Protocol on our website. If you have questions, please contact Amy Torres at 503-844-1680.
