AMI Learning Days: With inclement weather in the forecast, we wanted to remind you we will let you know if a missed day is considered an AMI day or not. Remember, on declared AMI days, student work must be turned in the next day we return to school in order for your child to not be counted absent for that AMI day.

Book Study Session 2 on Thursday: Our session 2 Glow Kids Book Study is scheduled for Thursday, February 3 at 6 PM in the Data Room. If you didn't sign up and would like to attend, we would love to have you join us!

February Character Assembly: Our Character Student of the Month Assembly is scheduled for Friday, February 4 at 7:45 AM. If your child has been selected, the classroom teacher should be contacting you to let you know via Class Dojo.

CSCO Meeting: The February CSCO Meeting will be taking place next Tuesday, February 8 at 5:30 PM in the Preschool Commons Area. Please join us to help us plan fun activities for our students!

Valentine's Day Parties: We will be having our Valentine's Day Parties on Friday, February 11. We had planned on having party day open to parents, but with the recent increase in illnesses, we have decided to keep these closed to visitors. I know this will make many of you sad, but when it comes down to it, I know we can all agree we want our students to bein school! Teachers will be sending information regarding parties via Class Dojo such as sign ups for party supplies, details on Valentine's Day boxes, and a list of students in each class. Please remember students should bring Valentine's for each student in their class if they are exchanging Valentine's cards.

Screenings for Preschool and New Kindergarten Students for Next School Year: We are now scheduling screenings for the upcoming school year for students who will be entering preschool and for students who will be entering kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year who were not enrolled in Crane Elementary's Preschool Program. Screening will take place on Friday, March 11. Please call the elementary office at 417-723-5300 ext. 1301, to schedule your child's screening.

Boys & Girls Club Status: We have taken calls asking about the opening date for the Boys & Girls Club opening in Crane. We are anxiously waiting and told as soon as they hire enough Youth Development Professionals for the Crane location, they plan on opening! If you or someone you know is interested in working for BGC, please apply at the website found here. Starting pay is $13 per hour. If you have questions about what the job entails, please contact Patrick Stewart at pstewart@bgcozarks.org .

Absences: If your child is going to be absent from school, regardless of reason, we need you to call the Elementary office to let us know. If you call before anyone is at school, please leave a voicemail letting us know your child's name and reason for absence. The office phone number is 417-723-5300 ext. 1301.

Honor Choir Practice: Honor Choir will have practice on Tuesday morning. Students should arrive at 7:25 AM and report to the music room.

Stuff the Staff Fridge Round 2: Thank you to those who have brought in snacks! Our teachers LOVE this treat! If you are willing to help out, please sign up for a treat to bring when you can! We appreciate everyone's help! The sign up can be found here.

Transportation Changes: We understand plans can change throughout the day. If transportation plans change for your child, please call the office to let Whitney know so she can ensure your child gets the message. Some parents have been messaging teachers on Dojo and there are days teachers do not see messages until after students have left for the day. We would hate to miss an important message!
