Humanities Nebraska Chautauqua
Humanities Nebraska is bringing the Chautauqua to Papillion. Mark Twain, Grenville Dodge, George Washington Carter, Chief Standing Bear, Willa Cather and Laura Ingles Wilder will be visiting under the big tent next to First Lutheran Church on Washington St the week of June 17, 2013.
One part of this will be a Youth Camp where students who have completed 4th grade through 8th grade can spend a week researching historical characters from Sarpy County and becoming those characters for the Friday night performance.
This activity is free of charge because it is funded by Humanities Nebraska and grants from Union Pacific and the Midland Community Foundation. If you love history and have the acting bug this activities is for you.
