District Representatives from all LEAs within the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit are invited to participate in the development and utilization of this training.

Three One-Hour Sessions

Module 1 Recognizing Child Abuse

Recognition of the signs of abuse; and recognition of the signs of sexual misconduct; and reporting requirements for suspected abuse and sexual misconduct in the Commonwealth.

Part III: Sexual Abuse (Intro-Video, Definitions, Indicators, Check for Understanding)

Part IV: Neglect (Intro-Video, Definitions, Examples & Causes, Indicators, Check for Understanding)


Module 2 Reporting Child Abuse

Provisions of the Professional Educator Discipline Act, including mandatory reporting requirements; School entity's policies related to reporting of suspected abuse and sexual misconduct.

Module 3 Appropriate Student Interactions

Maintenance of professional and appropriate relationships with students.
