Our Vision: Every Student a Success!
Our Mission: Building Children, Character, and Community Everyday!
The Parks Practice
- We will pursue excellence daily.
- We will collaborate positively with all stakeholders.
- We will engage all students through high quality instruction.
- We will promote the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
- We will work to ensure scholars take responsibility for their learning and success.
It Takes All of Us
This week we will engage in our district benchmark assessments. These assessments are designed to determine how well our scholars are retaining what has been taught from the beginning of the year. The results will be used to determine how to we set individual learning plans for our scholars.
It's going to take all of us to ensure a successful assessment week. Please help us with the following:
Ensure that students are at school every day by 8:00 and remain for the full day.
Ensure that students arrive ready to work and learn.
Ensure that students are well rested each day.
Ensure that students are supported and encourage to give their very best effort.
Ensure that students are completing home assignments and review material.
Ensure that students are reading at home for at least 20-30 minutes daily.
If you have questions or know that your student will e out for any reason, please reach out to your child's teacher in advance.
With a concentrated effort from all of us, our scholars can't help but grow and succeed.

Safe School Dismissal
Students will not be released to anyone from any doors during actual dismissal. If there should happen to be a change with your student's dismissal, due to emergency, our front office must be notified before 3:00p.m. Early pickups will not be honored after 3:00p.m. A notice from the appointment is also required for the student to be excused from time missed in class.
Students are dismissed beginning at 3:50p.m. Any students left after 4:10p.m. are considered late pickups. Parents or Guardians picking up after the car drive closes will need to ring the bell at the front door and follow our standard office procedures for checking out or picking up a student present valid identification.
Early Pick-ups
Please allow students to remain the full school day. If you need to pick up your child for an appointment, please call ahead of your arrival and return the note from the doctor, dentist, etc., on the next school day in order to receive credit for the day.
Additionally, students will not be released from school after 3:00 pm. Parents wanting their children will need to wait for dismissal time and follow the appropriate dismissal process.

We Need Your Help
- Parents addressing staff in a disrespectful manner (cursing, berating, threatening, etc.) will not be tolerated. This type of behavior is not condoned by any member of the Rosa Parks Community.
- Hoodies: Under no circumstances are hoodies allowed to be worn. (See the District Dress Code) This includes pullover sweatshirts and winter coats. Uniform shirts are to be visible at all times.
- Crocs: Under no circumstances are scholars allowed to wear crocs.
- Masks: All scholars, teachers, and staff are required to wear a face mask appropriately at all times.
- Cell Phones: Cell phone usage is prohibited on the campus. If a scholar needs to reach a parent, they will need to make their teacher or RPM staff member aware. Parent contact by cell phone is not allowed unless given permission. Playing games and engaging on social media is prohibited on campus.
- Restroom Behavior: Behavior in the restroom (intentionally flooding toilets, writing on the walls, scraping paint off the walls, trashing the floors, smearing nail polish, eating and placing food products in the toilet) has increasingly gotten worse, rather than better. As a result, students are not allowed in restrooms apart from their scheduled class restroom break. Emergencies will be treated on an as needed basis in the front office. This will help administration with tracing in the event another incident occurs.
Please discuss these issues with your child to ensure they are not a part of these mishaps.
Operation Safe Tiger Return - Covid19 Protocol
Circumstances related to COVID-19 may change throughout the school year, as such, so with the response of our district. We encourage you to carefully read and review the plan regularly to remain up-to-date with changes as it relates to students, staff, and community stakeholders. Within the plan, you will find the district's expectations with regards to:
- Virus Prevention Strategies
- Health Reporting Procedures for students, staff, and visitors
- Quarantine Protocol
- Instructional Pivot Process (if needed)
