Help Needed

During the next month, you will hear many updates and reminders about our annual raffle fundraiser. This is a very important fundraiser for our school as the proceeds pay for our field trips, teaching supplies like extra novels, trips to camp and much more. All students benefit from the fundraiser.


We are hoping each student can sell 15 tickets at $10 each. The drawing will be on Nov. 15 for four cash prizes - $1,000, $750, $500, and $250. Envelopes with 15 raffle tickets are sorted, labelled, and ready for pick up in our office or we can send them home with your student at your request - please call (810) 591-6078 or email pgenord@gbcs.org to have them sent home. For raffles, we must carefully track the tickets and funds, which is why we cannot just pass them out to our students. The fundraiser will last until Nov. 8 and any unsold tickets must be returned. Whether you sell 15, 40, or 1, every ticket counts!


Some families have asked if they can just make a donation instead of selling raffle tickets. That is absolutely fine, but if you can, fill out the ticket stubs with your name that match your donation - you might win big! :)


We appreciate all the support from our families with this fundraiser. We have incentives each month including Froyo gift cards for the top sellers in September. All ticket stubs and funds must be turned into the office by end of day on Sept. 30 for the opportunity to win a September prize.

Looking for Guest Speakers

As part of their study of the world regions and different religions, Upper School is looking for guest speakers on the topic of Judaism and Hinduism. If any of our PIC families have connections with someone knowledgeable about either of these topics, please contact Karen Cormany at kcormany@gbcs.org.

Evening Office Hours
