WINTER PARK BAND Weekly Newsletter

March 22, 2020

From Mr. Clemente

Dear Winter Park Band families,

I hope this finds you all in good health and good spirits. This in an unprecedented time, and the situation is constantly changing. If any of our Band families are in need of help during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are all working through this situation, and the more we can do it together, while from a distance, the better!

Currently, I need all of our Band families to fill out the Google form linked here: While Mr. Smith and I plan out instruction over the coming weeks, students will need an instrument and their music folder at home to create recordings for assessments. We will be working to set up a time for students and/or parents to come to campus to retrieve instruments, music folders, or other equipment needed to play. More information on that time will follow as soon as we have an accurate count of the number of people who need access to the Band room. Thank you for filling out this form quickly!

Again, please reach out to both myself and Mr. Smith if you are in need during this hiatus. More information on how the assessments will look and how they will be turned in will be coming in the next few days. I miss all of you and although this would have been the end of our scheduled spring break, I would much rather be gearing up get back to school in the morning and get back to preparing for our Spring Concert performances. I'm very much looking forward to the time we will be all together to make music once again, but for the time being I look forward to hearing your work digitally.

All of the best - stay home if you are able, and stay healthy and safe,

Mr. Clemente
