Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Our school hours are 9:05-3:35 and dismissal on Wednesday is 1:40. In the morning, we do not have adults available to supervise children until 8:55. Please help us to make sure your children are not arriving before 8:55. If you arrive before that time, you are responsible for keeping your child with you until we open the front doors at 8:55. This ensures that everyone is entering the building calmlyl and they are able to go directly to class where they will be greeted by their teachers and be offered breakfast to start the day off.
At dismissal time, students who are in 2nd -5th grade who walk home will be released on the lower level on the south end of the building. If you are meeting a student to walk to your car or to walk home, that is where you should meet them. If you are picking up a 1st grade or kindergarten student, please meet them on the upper level at the north end of the building from their teachers.
If you are picking up your child by car, you will pull into the parking lot off of National Avenue and circle through the main parking lot. It is essential that you stay in your car and wait until you get to the pick up zone to get your child. This helps keep traffic moving. It is also important to pay attention and keep the line moving. Please also be mindful of the crosswalk, and not block it. When you get to the pick-up zone, please pull as far forward as possible so we can load several cars at the same time. Thank you for your patience, and please know that everything we are doing is to keep your children safe and make sure that everyone gets where they need to be.
