This Week in LVUSD
Week of August 17, 2020
Welcome Back! First Day August 19th
In order to best support your children in the distance learning format, please consider the following suggestions:
- Create a Routine: Students thrive off a predictable routine. Have them get up, eat breakfast, get dressed and be prepared just as if they were coming on campus.
- Find a Consistent Learning Space: Identify a space in the home that can be dedicated to learning. Try to remove possible distractions and make the space quiet, inviting, and comfortable.
- Test the Technology: Be sure your child is comfortable with the basics of technology (i.e. how to adjust the sound, mute themselves, etc.).
- Encourage Participation: Students make meaning and learn through social interactions. Encourage them to participate, raise their hands, and contribute to the classroom environment.
- Ask for Help: Our whole team is here for help should you have a question.
We wish you a great start to the school year. We look forward to seeing you all on campus as soon as it is safe to do so.
