Students in Building After School
Students and families are reminded that students staying after school should be under the direct supervision of a coach or activity sponsor. If the student is not staying for a specific activity, they should leave the building at 2:20pm when school is dismissed and should not loiter in the building.
MAC Scholars Homework Academy
The MAC Scholars Academy will faciliate homework sessions for any students on Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:30-4pm. Teacher and peer tutors will be available to assist students during this time in the Library.
AMI Virtual Learning Days
We are starting to see more regular cold weather and don’t want to be caught off guard in the event of a winter event. As a reminder Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) virtual learning days will be called when the snow day is anticipated and there is advanced warning for staff to send home the appropriate technology and/or instructional materials with students.
All students will access their assignments on AMI virtual learning days through Google Meet and content shared through Google Classroom as defined by the teacher. This may also include traditional independent work that the teacher was able to assign ahead of time. Students need to be logged in at the beginning of each class for attendance and to be sure they are aware of the expectations and assignments (which can include live Google Meet lessons, pre-recorded lessons, online activities, and normal independent work). Student attendance will be based upon completion of work.
Inclement Weather Reporting
On AMI or traditional snow days, families will be notified through the regular communication channels (phone call, text, social media) utilized by the District and their child’s school.
