Join us for Benbrook Trash Bash! The 29th Annual clean-up event will be held on September 18th in Dutch Branch Park.

Here is a fantastic way to show your Benbrook pride! There will be give-away items and prizes and YOU provide cheerful assistance in helping us tidy up Dutch Branch Park!

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., cleanup begins at 9. Open to all ages, and groups are welcomed. Dutch Branch Park is located behind the Benbrook Community YMCA, 1899 Winscott Road. We will gather at the pavilion located behind the concession stand, in the rear parking lot.

Volunteers will be assigned to pick up litter and debris—gloves and trashbags will be provided. We’ll conclude the event around 11:30 a.m. by serving a free hotdog lunch to our volunteers.

Advance registration is requested. To register, please call Jared DeVries, 817-249-6008. We all want to keep Benbrook looking beautiful, and every “litter bit” helps!

All attendance recovery time will take place in the high school cafeteria. Students can come any day to complete their required hours. Days and times are Monday through Thursday 3:45 - 6:45 pm each week through this first grading period. We will also offer seat time on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm. On Saturdays, the only entrance/exit that can be used is the high school auditorium entrance. Students spending the day with us on Saturdays will need to bring a lunch. If students leave for any reason, the seat time accumulation with stop. The last date to make up attendance for last semester will be Saturday, September 25th.

If you believe that the absences were unavoidable due to extenuating circumstances, you can complete an attendance petition for the attendance committee to consider waiving the absences and granting credit. This form will be included in the letter, but if you need another one, you can contact anyone in the school office and they will email a copy to you.

Senior pictures are this Wednesday, Sept 1 and Thursday, Sept 2, through Social Studies classes. Girls will need to wear a spaghetti strapped tank top and boys will need a solid white t-shirt.

All seniors with a 'late arrival' are encouraged to come during period 1 on Sept. 1 or period 5 on Sept.2 - this will allow them to have their picture taken first thing in the morning.

You will receive an emailed proof from Prestige. From that you will chose one picture for the yearbook . You will also be able to order others if you wish.
