Recognition at the Achievement Celebration included 4-H member and volunteer years of service, youth graduating through 4-H, project area achievements, Diamond Clover awards, Club of Excellence Awards, new and current 4-H Council members, new and current Ambassadors, Camp/Workshop and College Scholarships, and more!

Food Science Scholarship Challenge!
UNL is hosting a Food Science Scholarship Challenge on Friday, December 2.
High school seniors are invited to spend the day conducting one-of-a-kind experiments in the Food Innovation Center’s teaching laboratories and pilot plants. Activities will be led by Food Science and Technology faculty and experts from The Food Processing Center. Students will practice their new skills and build their understanding of food science as they engage in real-world challenges.
Students can earn a $5,000 scholarship for participating in this one-day event and enrolling in 2023 at UNL as a Food Science & Technology Major!

Martha and Don Romeo Scholarship
The Nebraska Association of Fair Managers provides 2 $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. One male and one female finalist from Dodge County will be submitted to the committee for consideration. Applications are due November 30.

Fed Steer Challenge
Nebraska 4-H Fed Steer Challenge applications now open!

Join us for a virtual learning session about the Nebraska 4-H Fed Steer Challenge
Wednesday November 9th at 8:00pm
Via Zoom: https://unl.zoom.us/j/97237944537The Fed Steer Challenge is an opportunity for youth interested in learning more about the cattle industry and is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the Nebraska cattle industry. In Dodge County, you can participate in Beef Weigh Day, County Fair Beef Show, and State Fair Fed Steer Market Class. You get access to programming from Nebraska Animal Science faculty and awards are given at the end of the year!
Youth Philanthropy Grants Program
The Fremont Area Community Foundation’s popular Youth Philanthropy Contest is now called the Youth Philanthropy Grants Program! Still the same great opportunity for kids in grades K-12 to use their creativity, compassion and talent to make a difference in the lives of other... but funding is now available at any time YEAR ROUND!!
We are asking kids throughout the Fremont area to bring us their best ideas for making a difference in their communities. The Foundation may provide grants of up to $1,000 to help them make their ideas happen. We will also provide an adult mentor (from an area service club or non-profit organization) to help those with winning ideas complete their projects successfully.

After completing the Ambassador Fulfillment of Duties form, Ambassadors are awarded a $500 college scholarship from the Dodge County 4-H Council. Morgan and Brooklyn have graduated from 4-H and started their college journeys this fall. Thank you for being positive representatives of 4-H, and best of luck!

Youth members serve 1 year terms with a limit of 3 terms. Kaden Gregory, Evan Hartman, Brooklyn Reynolds, and Hunter Wiese will be concluding their service this year.
Adult members serve 2 year terms with a limit of 2 consecutive terms, so Kristin Schlueter and Ann Brodd will be rotating off of the council at the end of this year.

The 4-H Council is the governing body of the 4-H program, helping to direct decisions in the program that effect all members and volunteers. Some adult members serve specific parts of the county. Other adults, plus all youth members, serve the county program at large. If you have issues, concerns, suggestions, or ideas, share them with a council member. Budgets are made at the start of each year to decide how to spend 4-H funds throughout the year.
