PSSA Math - 7th & 8th Grade April 25-26
PSSA Science - 8th Grade - May 2
Keystone - Accelerated Algebra - May 16-17
Please make every attempt to have your child in attendance on these dates to take these assessments. PDE encourages us to share information with our parents. Please click here to view the testing information and cell phone policy during the PSSA testing. Testing is scheduled from 7:30 AM to 11:45 AM on these dates. Please DO NOT schedule any appointments or trips for your child on these test times. Students arriving after 7:45 AM will not be permitted to take the test on that day and will have to attend a make up testing session.
PSSA Exams and Cellphone and Electronic Devices
In order to ensure the security of the PSSA exams and to avoid the cost of replacing test items, no electronic devices are permitted in testing rooms. Electronic devices include cell phones, smartphones, E-readers, Nooks, Kindles, iPads, iPods, tablets, camera-ready devices and any other electronic device, which can be used to photograph or duplicate test materials, access the internet and/or communicate with others during the administration of the PSSA Exams.
If a student is discovered using and/or having a cell phone or other electronic device in his or her possession during the administration of the PSSA, parents will be notified and appropriate consequences will be given. The student could receive both school and Pennsylvania Department of Education consequences, which may include scores being invalidated and/or a fine to replace test items. All testing materials are copyrighted property of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Penalties for violations of the Copyright Act may include the cost of replacing the compromised test item(s) or fines of no less than $750 up to $30,000 for a single violation. 17 U.S. C. 101 et seq. FROM THE NURSE'S OFFICE
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has revised the immunization requirements for students effective the 2017-2018 school year. This revision replaces the 8-month provisional period for immunizations with the new requirement of a 5-day provisional period.
You may check your child's school immunization record by logging onto the parent portal through the district website at www.cbsd.org or by consulting with your child's physician.
If you child will need immunizations prior to starting the 2017-18 school year, you will receive notification of this requirement either via email or US mail.
Please contact the health office if you have any questions about this immunization requirement that will take place. For more information it can be found here.
Thank you,
